Medical Trust hospital started its operations in the year 1977 under the watchful eye of Dr.A V Joseph and Dr.Rosamma Joseph. Initially conceived as a rural hospital to bring affordable healthcare to the poorer sections of the society; the overwhelming support for their work resulted in the hospital eventually expanding its services.

Medical trust Hospital moved to new premises with 40 beds, operation theatre and minimum facilities for doctors and nurses. In a span of a few years, Medical Trust forged its reputation among the hospitals in South India as a pioneer in successfully implementing new technologies and procedures. In 1984 Medical Trust became the second centre in Kerala to providing Ultrasound Scanning and in 1989 performed a fully fledged foetal monitoring and ultra sound guided operation. The Hospital is also holds the record for performing the foetal Surgery in South India as well as the successful re-implantation of a completely served wrist

Medical Trust Hospital today is a full service multi speciality hospital with 120 beds complete with the latest medical equipment. Its Gynaecology department headed by Dr.Rosamma Joseph is highly reputed in the nearby region. The hospital employs some of the best and brightest doctors in Kerala ably assisted by a staff of over 110 medical assistants and a host of other technicians and support staff providing round the clock medical care for the patients.
